Born 1895 Reg No 8776. Son of Jacob LEVY & Eva née SOLOMON, 51 Punt Road, Windsor, Victoria. Military Medal - 'Near WARNETON, during a raid on the enemy on night 30th November, 1st December, this NCO showed dashing and conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He was the Sergeant in charge of the right blocking party. He was one of the first to enter the enemy trenches and his example of courage, determination and complete control of his men while under heavy fire helped largely in the success of the operation. He was also one of the last to leave the enemy's trenches and assisted the bringing in of the wounded. Strength of raiding party - 4 officers and 82 other ranks.'
