Born 13 May 1874 Reg No 3564 Concord, NSW. Son of Benjamin BRAUN & Marion née Miriam DAVIES who married 1864 Reg No 3399 Victoria. Husband of Fanny Edith Braun, Bungalow 21, Nasirabad, Rajputana, India. Charles and his father, Benjamin, were proprietors of the Federal Coffee Palace, Melbourne. Charles had an attack of Enteric fever and lost his memory. His father Benjamin, was deeply concerned and put a notice in the 1905 Victorian Police Gazette 11 March 1905 and Charles was eventually found. Charles is on the Victorian Electoral Roll of 1915 living at 141 Union Street, Windsor and lists his occupation as "propr. refreshment rooms".
