Enlisting in October, 1915, and sailing in February, 1916, served with unit till wounded and gassed at Fleurbaix in July. Then was Chief Messing Officer, A.I.F., in England till 1919. Awarded MBE 3rd June, 1919, and Mentioned in Despatches twice.
