Born 28/5/1912 Toorak, Victoria. Son of Harry GOLDMAN & Amelia née HALINBOURG, of Caulfield. Brother-in-Law married to eldest sister: CAPT Paul PINCUS. Aircraft was detailed to attack a target at Emden, Germany on the operation from which it did not return. Now believed that when last message received from the machine, it was flying over the North Sea on the return journey. Assumed that it crashed into the sea. Therefore William and all his comrades were lost at sea. Wellington Mk IV, R1775
