Born Hurstville, New South Wales. Son of Daniel ASHER & Hannah née DREW both interred at St Marys Anglican Cemetery, Denham Court, Campbelltown City, NSW. Brother of 6276 Driver Charles ASHER, 11th Field Artillery Brigade, returned to Australia, 12 March 1918. Charles attested as Church of England and married Hannah Sophie SHAW at St Mary's Church, Denham Court Church of England on 14 August 1920. Husband of Maisie Heath née RAINBOW, C/- Mr Henry Rainbow, "Kelvin", Mittagong, NSW (executor of will). Maisie died 1 January 1981 and her cremated remains are at Woronora Memorial Park, Sutherland, NSW, Section JJ, Rose Garden 13, 0028.
