Born 6/10/1913 Point Piper, NSW. Son of Ernest Abraham GOLDSMID & Thyra née MARKS. Four RAAF Men in Missing Plane - Training Flight - Four RAAF sergeants who failed to return to their base in Southern Australia from an operational training exercise to seaward on Sunday are reported missing. They are: SGT Peter Ernest Goldsmid, pilot, 29 of Edgecliff (NSW); SGT Mervyn Bertrand Davey, observer, 23, of Ardrossan (SA); SGT Roderick Neil McDonald, 27, of Noorat (Vic); and SGT Charles John William Keith, wireless airgunner, 25, of Grantham (QLD).
