Born 18/1/1924. Son of Charles Jacob SCHOTT (1870-1929) & Bertha Branee née SAGEL (1885-1957), of 12 Avoca Street, Elwood. Comment: Airborne 23:01 on 18 July 1944 from Waddington to bomb a railway junction at Revigny. Bomb load 11 x 1000lb, 3 x 500lb bombs. Shot down on its bombing run by a night-fighter, crashing in a field near Brabant-le-Roi (Meuse), 2 km north of Revigny-sur-Ornain. Those killed are buried in Brabant-le-Roi Churchyard.
